The Esto way ...
… of achieving excellence
26/07/2007

Estonians have a deep & troubling past. Yet they have managed to achieve robust economic growth, higher per capita income in a liberal democratic & free market economy.

The source of this high GDP growth (11.4% ) lies in the cumulative high performance & strong investment potential in the electronics and telecom sectors. Many neighbouring Scandinavian firms are relocating their plants here because of comparatively cheap labour costs, educated workforce & attractive investment climate. It has also achieved substantial export earnings ($9.36 billion). Locally mined oil shale alone generates 90% electricity, making it the only energy independent nation. It has GDP per capita of $20,300, which is highest among the Baltic States. The way this North-European country placed itself on the global forum is undoubtedly incredible. Inspite of the lack of any natural resource endowments, Estonia has outstanding economic performance & proffers innumerable lessons in executing boldest reforms.
