LThe father of a childET'S PLAY WAR!

T here is never a war for their rights, but they are the ones asked to pay with their lives. Children are not just subjected to atrocities, but are also forced to commit them. Shockingly, more than 300,000 children work with militias, and 40% in Africa alone, where they are made to rape and behead civilians & enemies. India's no better; a Reuters AlterNet poll puts India at par with Sudan, Congo & Somalia in 'The ten most dangerous places for children' list. And in the US, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children states that 20% girls are sexually exploited before reaching 18. Perhaps one reason why global social development funding should now be critically focused more on protecting the child, than just on the man!
